About us

We specialize in equine ophthalmology. Our area of expertise includes diagnosing and conservatively or surgically treating eye diseases in horses. We treat equine patients with professionalism, transparency, and structured processes, whether at our partner clinics or in your stable.

Selina Scherer
Veterinary assistant

Selina has been part of our practice since 2025. She completed her training as a TFA at the Wolfesing Equine Clinic, where she gained extensive knowledge and experience working with horses. With her eye for detail and independent, calm approach, she ensures that procedures are as stress-free as possible for horses and owners, and that important information is reliably communicated.

Where and how do we work?

We primarily perform eye examinations and surgeries on horses at our partner clinics. Depending on medical requirements, location, loading capacity, and the horse's health, certain treatments can be performed on an outpatient basis at the horse's stable. Our catchment area includes the greater Munich area, southern Germany, and parts of Austria and Switzerland. Through our modern digital portal, owners and referring colleagues can present cases in an organized manner, submit images and findings, and send follow-up information for smooth, supra-regional collaboration.

What do we do at the clinic or stable?

We focus on clearly coordinating all diagnostic and therapeutic steps. This enables us to customize treatments and implement them with the help of owners and treating veterinarians. What is possible always depends on the individual case. You can find detailed insights into our examination methods and treatment options on the following pages.

What does animal welfare mean today?

To us, modern equine medicine means recording clinical data in a standardised and reliable manner to measure the success of individual methods. In equine ophthalmology, for example, we depend on such findings to develop successful treatment options continuously. Animal welfare stems from the development of evidence and scientific proof of the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of therapies. That is why we publish our results in compliance with data protection regulations and rely on conscientious use of intelligent, contemporary technology with anirec — our specially developed web and mobile app for animal owners and veterinary professionals.
